Yvonne J. Harrop

On February 5, 1938, in Milford, Connecticut, a radiant light entered the world as Virginia and Byron Pickering welcomed their daughter, Yvonne Joyce Pickering. Virginia later married Emmet Gene Nelson, and together they raised Yvonne and her youngest sister Valerie. 

Yvonne peacefully passed away in Grants Pass, Oregon, on April 19, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgina (Nana) and her stepfather Gene Nelson, her sister Valerie and Valerie’s husband Dan Tritt, her husbands Dale O’Dell and Robert Harrop, and her loyal companion, Tori. She is survived by her children Kenneth (Joan), Debra (Michael), and Ronald (SandE). 

Yvonne’s legacy lives on through her twelve grandchildren: Jeffrey (Moranda), Kyle (Stephanie), Keith, Jami (Crystal), Jennifer (Jason), Tyler (Jenna), Rachel, Jason (Jamie), Sara, Jordan, Anthony (Cathy), Natalie (Jorge) and 23 greatgrandchildren: Madyson, Katelyn, Macy, Katelyn, Taylor, Harley, Hannah, Camee, Jax, Dawson, Colter, Sage, Logan, Dominic, Alexa, Nevaeh, Ava, Andraes, Elayna, Elijah, Aleera, Marcelo, Skyla, and one great-greatgrandchild, Layla. Their lives are a testament to her enduring love and influence. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
