Tristan Mitchel Donaldson

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Tristan Mitchel Donaldson, age 21, announces his sudden passing on September 4, 2025. Although we did not get enough time with him in this life, Tristan’s gentle spirit and caring manner will be forever cherished by all who knew him.

Born on June 18, 2004, to Chenoa Lucero Donaldson and Byron Donaldson in Las Vegas, NV, Tristan was subsequently raised in New York, NY and then Rogue River, OR. He was a 2022 graduate of Grants Pass High School where he participated in Wrestling and Cross Country. Tristan joined the Army National Guard shortly after graduation-fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming a soldier. Tristan was a Specialist with the Oregon Army National Guard where he was a Field Medic with Head Quarters Company 1/186 Infantry Combat Team based out of Ashland Oregon. He recently began work as a Wildlands Firefighter serving with Diamond Fire and Hacker Machines. Tristan was known amongst his friends and co-workers as a strong, silent one who brought a sense of calm to those around him. He loved serving and helping others and was always quick to jump in and help anyone in need.

Tristan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ronald Donaldson, his mother Chenoa Lucero and his father Byron Donaldson. He is survived by his brothers Garett Donaldson and Brodie Donaldson, his stepmother Kristin Ryerson, his maternal grandparents Benjamin and Victoria Lucero, his paternal grandmother Loretta Smith (Morgan), his aunts Dyani Lucero Zanardi and Laura Smiricky, and his uncles Toby MacIntosh, Pablo Zanardi and Marty Givens.

A visitation/viewing with the family is open for friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors in Grants Pass.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
