Travis Lee Dalton Economy

Travis Lee Dalton Economy, age 36, of Grants Pass, died August 6, 2023.

Travis was born in Los Angeles, California and moved up to Bear Gulch (Wolf Creek), Oregon when he was two years old with his mother, Stephonie Economy.  Travis was a blonde hair, blue eyed, handsome little guy, eager to please and loved to make people laugh! His grandfather, Noel H. Economy of Bear Gulch helped raise Travis into a fine, good looking, gentleman who took pride in other peoples’ happiness. 

Travis attended Wolf Creek Elementary, Fleming Middle and North Valley High School before relocating to Canyonville, OR where he graduated from South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek. 

Travis was hardworking, he could split firewood faster than a wood-splitter. Travis was also a world class folder of towels; his mother taught him well! Until his death, Travis worked as a roofer. He was a natural, comfortable up on any rooftop, eager to do a great job and move on to the next. Travis had an incredible work ethic and was not shy about calling out the slackers! He was trustworthy, genuine and passionate in everything he did.

Travis found beauty in everything. He HH H loved woodworking, carving and creating beautiful things from wood scraps and sticks, to gift and bring joy  to friends and family. Travis also enjoyed rockhounding, listening to music, camping, fishing and helping others. Travis loved spending time with his family. He was loyal, kind and generous; he was Uncle Travis to all the kids.

In addition to his lifelong friends … his "brother", Braide Shipman and best friend, Jaime Bernard, (McLean) from whom he was inseparable and Cassie, his girlfriend, Travis leaves behind his aunt, Casey Economy and her three children Ahdra, Ayla and Austyn and many other friends. Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Stephonie, his grandfather, Noel and his grandmother, Glenna.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. September 23, 2023 at the Golden Coyote Wetlands, 3481 Coyote Creek Road, Wolf Creek, Oregon.
