Thelma M. Johnson

Thelma M. Johnson, age 97, of Rogue River, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

No services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Thelma was born February 10, 1911 in Gold Hill to James & Maude Pierce. She was raised in Gold Hill. In 1936 in Reno, Nevada she married Dees S. Johnson who died June 21, 1993. In 1945 she moved to Rogue River.

She was a member of the Art Guild.

She especially enjoyed art, especially oil painting wildlife and still life. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, flower gardening and cats.

Survivors include a son, Edwin L. Johnson of Rogue River; a daughter, Beverly Rushing of Salem; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and one more on the way.

In addition to her husband, Dees Johnson she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Johnson who died in 1959.
