Terry Alayna Esch

The matriarch of our family passed away this New Years Day, January 1, 2023 at her home in Selma Oregon with her family by her side. She was 84 years old.

Terry Alayna Esch was born on November 9, 1938 in San Francisco, California to Elio and Rita Poletti.

She came to the Oregon coast, Coos Bay, in 1960 and stayed and raised her family. She moved to Lincoln City 1979 and was head housekeeper at the Inn At Spanish Head where she met and married her late husband Ken.

She was involved in her community and was a member of the Red Cross, her church, Red Hats, Beta Sigma Phi and loved spending time with friends. She moved to Selma in 2014 with her daughter and son-in-law where she found new friends and church family at the Selma Baptist Church

Terry is survived by two daughters, Toni (Bob) McNeill and Lorri (Rick) Hill of Selma, Oregon; two sons, Irvin Wetzell of Selma Oregon and Mark Rusty) Chorjel of Arora California; a stepson, Doug (Shannon) Esch of Springfield, Oregon; and a brother Doug (Cathy) Poletti of Redmond, Oregon. Terry had 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren! She was also a beloved aunt to many, and friend to many more.

Terry was predeceased by her husband, Ken Esch 2004, her sister Jean, her stepdaughter Vickie Pfaff, her best friend MaryJo Georgis, and many friends

There will be a small service at the Selma Baptist Church at a later date to be announced.
