Ruth Allen Albright

June 29, 1926 — July 10, 2009

Ruth Allen Albright, age 83, of Grants Pass, Oregon departed her loved ones to meet our Maker and Savior on July 10, 2009 at Eagle Mountain Foster Care Home in Grants Pass.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Inglewood Cemetery, 720 East Florence Avenue, Inglewood, California at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of Arrangements.

Albright was born June 29, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Harry L. & Myrtle Mann. She married Edward L. Albright on August 14, 1945 (D-Day). Edward died April 25, 1980. She started her career with the United States Post Office. She became the first lady carrier in Norwalk, California. She retired after 21 years as a supervisor in 1977. In October of 2004 she moved to Grants Pass to be closer to her daughter and family for assistance. She fought a hard battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

She was an active member in the Trinity Church in Hemet, California. She also prided herself in being able to assist many people in Hemet from her mobile home park even after she purchased her home and sold the manufactured home she lived in.

Her hobbies included genealogy, and her family heritage. She loved her family very much and was always there for her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy L. Mazziotti of Grants Pass; two sons, David E. Albright of Buckeye, Arizona and Ricky L. Albright of Grants Pass; five granddaughters, Robin L. Mazziotti of Grants Pass, Cheri L. Chalker of Grants Pass, Trinstin Kilian, of Buckeye, Arizona, Kerri A. Nickell of Yucaipa, California and Brandi M. Albright of Hemet, California and seven great-grandchildren both of Oregon and California.
