Robin Reed Hudson

Born February 16, 1942 in Portland, Oregon to John Charles Hudson and Doris Cruickshank Hudson. He grew up in Eugene being raised by his maternal grandparents. He graduated from South Eugene High School in 1960. Joining the U.S. Army, soon after, he spent the majority of his time serving in Germany.

In 1976 he married Terrie Huddleston in Grants Pass, OR. They began their life together in Metlakatla, Alaska where Robin worked as the foreman, building fish traps to catch salmon for processing at the Metlakatla Indian Community's processing plants. Subsequently he purchased his own gilnetter boat and fished commercially for years. Their two daughters were born during their time in Alaska. Also in this time, Robin served several missions to Haiti and Kenya to spread the word of God.

When returning to Grants Pass Robin worked a number of jobs including receiving the Benton mine of and managing Abby's Pizza Parlors. He continued his work with the church teaching Bible studies and volunteering at Pelican Bay Prison.

After retirement, Robin’s greatest joy was spending time with family (grandchildren especially). He loved being outdoors and cheering for the Ducks.

He is survived by his wife Terrie and his children Kathy Hudson-Kerns (Harold), Kiley Hudson, Toni Hudson and Kari Hudson-Burcher (Derek). Grandchildren Isaac, Circe, Brendan, Asher, Avery, Spencer, Westley and Vinny. Siblings Barbara Patrick and Bill Auda and many nieces and nephews.

Robin passed peacefully and lovingly to his eternal home on August 11, 2026 surrounded by family at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date in Metlakatla, Alaska.
