Robert Leland Marcy

Robert “Bob” Marcy, age 85, of Grants Pass, died August 30, 2023, at his home. He was born to parents Lena and J.W. Marcy on August 29, 1938.

Robert spent several years in the US military before moving on to be a machinist for Western Airlines in California. Once Bob moved to Grants Pass, he had his hands in everything from collectible cards to classic hot rods. He spent decades as an instructor with a local martial arts school earning a 4^th degree black belt. Bob separated from his wife, Ella, whom he still cared for deeply until she passed in 2012. Bob was direct and stubborn; he was also kind to everyone, passionate about his hobbies and left everyone with a Hersey Kiss.

Memberships included the NRA and Boy Scouts of America. His hobbies included; ping pong, dancing, collectible Hot Wheels, baseball cards, stamps, coins, and anything else that piqued his interest.

Survivors include numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, or as he would call them “Grand-rats” and “Great Grand-rats”.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Lena Louise Cuddeford, Maggie; his best friend and family dog.
