Robert T. Littlefield

Robert Tabb (Maly) Littlefield, age 82, of Merlin, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1944 in Tulare, CA to Otto and June Maly.
Shortly after his birth, his parents divorced and his mother married Willard Littlefield, who adopted and raised young Robert.
They moved frequently during his youth and eventually settled in Josephine County, where Robert attended local schools.
In 1963, he graduated from Grants Pass High School and in 1964 he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Dickey.
In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Navy and traveled the world.
When his tour ended, he worked a few odd jobs for a couple years until he opened his own business. For more than 50 years, he owned and operated RT Littlefield Excavating and Backhoe service. He installed the majority of the septic systems in Josephine county. His hobbies included bowling, hiking, mining in Alaska, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his first wife, Margaret Rue and domestic partner Marilyn Coleman both of Grants Pass. Half siblings, Jerry Maly of Cypress, TX and Ann Meinhold, of Tulare. Two daughters, Rebecca Pearson, of Medford and Trina Stratman of Grants Pass. Also, 2 grandsons, Quinn and Gavin Stratman.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
