Phyllis Margaret Backus

Former Grants Pass resident, Phyllis Margaret Backus, age 71, of Myrtle Creek, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home of cancer.

Phyllis was born December 2, 1944 in Grants Pass to Tom & Alberta Seagoe, she was the youngest of six children. She was married to Howard Backus. She worked at various jobs around Grants Pass. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and hunting trips with her husband. They had no children.

Survivors include a sister, Barbara Fields and two brothers, Everett Seagoe and Dale Seagoe and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard Backus who died in 2011; parents, Tom & Alberta Seagoe and two brothers, Tom Seagoe and Paul Seagoe.

A memorial service at Christadelphian Ecclesia will be announced at a later date.
