Michael D. Long

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Michael Long after a courageous battle with cancer. He left us peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. By his side was his loving wife of 45 years, Carolyn, along with his children—Justin Long, Amanda Long (Paul Espinosa) and Rita Webb (Jason) and his seven grandchildren: Grace, Dylan, and Andrew Espinosa as well as Brandon, Patrick, Olivia, and Addison Webb. Being together as a family in those final moments meant everything, and it brought him comfort to be surrounded by those he loved most. He is also survived by his sons Michael and Christopher Long as well as siblings Tom Long, Sandy Iudice, Doug Long, Lorrie Tenney, and Terry Long. He was preceded in death by his parents Donna and Bill and sisters Debbie and Cindy. We are grateful for the time we had with him, for the lessons he taught us, and for the steady presence he was in our lives. We will especially miss his world-famous root-beer floats, pancakes, and his comforting hamburger soup—simple things that meant so much and brought us all together. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
