Her compassion and dedication earned her the lasting love and admiration of many young mothers whose lives were changed for the better by her sense of humanity. During their time on the Spokane Indian Reservation, Bill and Marion found their dream home- a small cabin in need of repair- on Loon Lake, Washington, along the shores of Sunset Bay. With the help of friends, they turned that small cabin into a true home. In this new community, Marion made many dear friends and remained deeply involved in caring for local families.

Marion loved her books, cooking, and baking, but most of all, she cherished her large family. She will be remembered for her intelligence, infallible memory, with, and compassion.
