Long time Cave Junction resident, Lorene Duchsherer, age 89, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at her home.
Lorene was born February 2, 1922 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to William & Maggie McCowan. She graduated from Chowchilla High School in Chowchilla, California. She moved from Redwood City, California to Cave Junction over 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Cave Junction Assembly of God Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
Lorene was an avid reader and also enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Harvey of Cave Junction, Oregon; a son, Kenneth Day of Fountain, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Harvey Sr; a granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Gianotti; a grandson, Zachary Carl Gifford; and a granddaughter, Tawnya Day.
No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
