George was born to John Lloyd Masters and Kate Elizabeth Masters on November 29, 1939 in Carthage, MO.

In 1951 the family moved to Buena Park, CA and he graduated from Fullerton Union High School in 1957. He attended Fullerton Junior College.

He worked at Knott’s Berry Farm as a youth and as a young man at Beckman Instruments.

In 1962 George married Barbara Ann Bruning and they moved to Southern Oregon in 1969 with their young twin daughters. He worked at Oregon Technical Products from 1969-1972; at Spalding and Son Lumber Mill as the Planerman from 1972-1992 and at Rogue Valley Door from 1995-2009.

He also enjoyed classic Chevy’s. He was a talented fabricator and welder and built several classic vehicles which he enjoyed driving to car shows and around town.
