Emblem

On June 29, 2026, Lee Kenneth Closser went home to be with Jesus. Lee was born on January 27, 1958 in Hayward, CA to Merle Kenneth Closser and Mavis Marlene Huseby. Upon graduating high school in Newark, CA, Lee joined the Navy and served as an aircraft electrician. After the Navy, he went to work for the Department of Defense and retired after 36 years. He wore many different hats working for the government but his two favorites were teaching electronic soldiering and his last position as an aerospace engineering tech. After retiring, Lee and his wife moved to Chiloquin, OR where they lived for 10 years and in 2022 moved to Merlin, OR.

From an early age, Lee developed a love for music. He accumulated over 5,000 songs in his music collection. He could give you the name of the song, the band and the year. He loved classic rock and bluegrass. Many Father’s Days were spent at bluegrass festivals with friends and family.

Lee was a loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Terry, son Christopher Closser, grandsons Jeremy and Collin Closser, and great-granddaughter Cora Closser.

He left too soon and will be missed by many but we have the assurance that we will meet again in heaven.

Please share a memory of Lee in his Guestbook.
