Kerry Malone

Kerry Malone, age 61, of Phoenix, Oregon died Monday, January 30, 2012 at her home after a valiant seven year battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass.

Kerry was born July 27, 1950 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Ed & Jean Malone. In 1968 she graduated from Grants Pass High School then attended Oregon State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree. After graduation from OSU she lived briefly in Klamath Falls and then lived in the Rogue Valley for the remainder of her life. She was a technology consultant and taught office and computer skills to the disabled and handicapped.

Kerry had a lifelong love of animals and gardening.

She is survived by a sister, Alanna Malone of Sedona, Arizona; a foster son, Lucas Filinski of San Francisco, California; and a three year old grandson.
