June Rose Shipman

June Rose Shipman, age 71, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.

A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at Brookside Village Clubhouse, Wards Creek Road, Rogue River. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

June was born June 13, 1939 in Corunna, Michigan to Raymond & Hazel LaMay. On June 18, 1955 in Flint, Michigan she married Donald P. Shipman. In 1963 they moved from Grover City, California to Grants Pass.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Her hobbies included playing bingo and bunco and garage sales.

Survivors include her husband, Donald P. Shipman of Grants Pass; two sons, Scott Anthony Shipman and Braide Andrew Shipman both of Sunny Valley, Oregon; a daughter, Tammy Lou Shipman Beck of Rogue River, Oregon; two sisters, Patsy Mallard and Merry Perkins; three brothers, Richard LaMay, Jimmy LaMay and David LaMay; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond & Hazel LaMay; a sister, Erma Crooks and three brothers, Rex LaMay, Ray LaMay and Gene LaMay.
