Judy Higgins

Mrs. Judith “Judy” Ann Higgins (Cook) age 83, of Grants Pass, passed away the morning of June 10th, 2025, at her residence.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 65+ years Barney Higgins, 2 sons and 1 daughter - Troy Higgins of Eagle Point, Bruce Higgins of Medford and Lori Higgins-Craw of Rogue River (Wimer), 2 sisters Phyllis Huff, Patty Lux, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Melvin & Margie Cook of Spokane, Washington

She was born in Endicott, Washington on August 16th, 1941, a small farming community and graduated from Endicott High in 1959.

She worked alongside her family for many years at their family-owned business “Jack’s Meat & Deli” then at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk – Coconut Grove then worked in human resources at the Santa Cruz Medical Foundation.

She took an active role in the lives of her children and volunteered a great deal of her time in various roles for Santa Cruz Little league baseball and softball as well as Pop Warner youth football.

She loved going on trips in their 5th wheel RV, read, garden, quilt, playing sudoku, cook, dark chocolate, attend craft shows – farmers markets, and the Seattle Seahawks…and she really loved spending time with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday June 24th @ Hull & Hull 612 NW A St. Grants Pass, OR 97526
