Jonah Liam Saitta

December 18, 2009 — March 2, 2026

Jonah Liam Saitta, age 16, passed away on March 2, 2026. He was born on December 18, 2009.

Jonah spent the past six months living in Merlin, Oregon, after moving from Nampa, Idaho. He was a 10th-grade student at North Valley High School and previously attended Idaho Arts Charter School.

Jonah found joy in things that captured his curiosity and imagination. He loved challenging video games, music, and exploring Japanese culture. He had a deep appreciation for beauty in small things and enjoyed collecting objects that spoke to him. Jonah also adored his animals, especially his dog, Rogue. He treasured the time he spent with his friends and family.

Those who knew Jonah will remember him as a quiet but steady presence—a bright spot in the lives of those around him. He was thoughtful, kind, and unassuming, always ready to offer support without asking for anything in return. Jonah possessed a sharp intelligence and a quick wit. He loved to laugh and joke with friends, and while he was rarely competitive, he held an inner drive to excel at whatever he set his mind to. He carried himself with a calm spirit and a gentle heart.

Jonah was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Iverson, and his paternal grandmother, Susan Kenney.

He is survived by his loving parents, Angela and Jordan Saitta; his older brother, Gabriel Saitta; and his younger brother, Reeve Saitta. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Pat Iverson; his paternal grandfather, Giuseppe Saitta; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

A private service for close friends and family will be held.

In Jonah’s memory, those who may be struggling or facing dark moments are encouraged to reach out to someone they trust and seek support. No one has to face those times alone, and Jonah would have taken comfort in his death preventing other tragedies.

Jonah’s quiet kindness, intelligence, humor, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Private family services will be held. Private interment at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
