John A. Plute

May 7, 1949 — November 13, 2023

Kerby

John A Plute of Kerby, Ore. died Nov. 13, 2023 at the age of 74. He struggled with congestive heart failure and for months kidney failure. John was an Airforce Veteran of 10 years who loved his country. He was a promoter and chairman for the Kerby Water District for 20 years.

John was born in Denver, Colo. May 7, 1949 to Albert and Sylvia Plute of Pueblo, Colo. and is survived by his sister Elisabeth Flahive, who resides in Iowa, his son Jon Plute, Las Vegas, Nevada and his wife Terry Plute of Kerby Oregon. John always said he had won the lottery when he moved to Kerby. He was passionate about his community and the Kerby Water District; he relished opportunities to debate politics – he teased about getting a “WOKE” tattoo and he loved his dark beer. He will be forever missed.

Thank you all for supporting not only our dear friend and husband John Plute, but also his life partner, Terry as she learns to navigate a new world.
