Grants Pass

John Moore, 69, of Grants Pass, died September 2, 2023 at his home.

He was born John Wesley Moore on September 29, 1953 in Portland, Oregon to Wesley Loyd and Marjorie Doris (Delmont) Moore. When John was young, he enjoyed being a beekeeper and building & painting homes. As he got older, John had a passion and love for many hobbies and interests, including landscaping, camping, fishing, and swimming. Because of his love for landscaping, John helped Lary and Anthony with leaf removal at Rogue Valley Overnighter RV Park where John and Suzanne were living for many years.

John adored Larry and Cheryl, Anthony and Tina, and all his friends in the RV park community. He also had love and passion for racing cars which had its origins from street racing cars in Grants Pass; eventually including track racing at the Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn, Oregon.

While enjoying his passion for racing cars, John met the love of his life, Suzanne. The couple married on November 28, 1981, and throughout the years John told Suzanne she is beautiful and how much he loves her. John and his love, Suzanne, spent 44 years together and raised their son, Brandon. John taught Brandon all about track racing, a passion they shared for many decades.

Throughout his life, John loved his family and all of his siblings. John loved and his enjoyed his time with his sisters Pris and Sharon. John thought of his brother, Steve, as a best friend. They shared fond memories of going to concerts together. John enjoyed learning how to build ATVs with his brother, David. John would call his sister Peggy when he needed someone to just listen, get advice, and pray together.

John liked to live a free life, love his passions, and family. He will forever be loved and missed as the loving brother, father, and husband he was. May he rest in peace up above with his Eternal Father.

John is survived by his wife Suzanne of Grants Pass; son Brandon Robinson of Salem, sisters Sharon, Peggy and Pris; brothers Dave and Steve; grandchildren Justyne and Hannah. He is preceded in death by his parents Wesley L. Moore and Marjorie D. Swearingen.
