John Edge Allen III, age 67, of Grants Pass, died December 17, 2025 at his home.
John was born January 1, 1958 in Santa Monica, California, to Norma Joan Lenhart and John Edge Allen Jr. He attended Venice High School. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corps for a few years. John met Kimberly Ann Kolbe in Lancaster, California when his family moved there. John and Kimberly married on July 20, 1985 in Clark County, Nevada. Together they had three children they raised together, two of them being biological children Sheena Marie Allen and Jonathan Edge Allen VI and Kimberly’s son James Micheal Anderson who he raised as his own. John had many jobs over the years, car salesman was one, but eventually started in the construction industry and later started his own construction company which he retired from. John and Kimberly divorced on May 1, 2000. The year 2008 in San Clemente he met his current wife Danise Rene Allen and they married February 28, 2009. Eventually they moved to Oregon but after being in Oregon for almost two decades, he was ready to move back to the beaches of California where he loved to be, enjoying the sand on his feet to surfing a wave. As the years passed, he would always say Oregon was way too cold for his liking and how much he was ready for a change and wanted to make his way back to California or Texas.
John loved to surf and relaxing in the hot tub.
He is survived by his wife Danise Rene Allen of Grants Pass; children James Anderson of Acton, California, Sheen Allen-Garcia of Troy, Texas and Jonathan Edge Allen IV of Lancaster, California; siblings Darla Garrison of Lancaster, California, Daniel Garrison of St Petersburg, Florida and Marcy Coleman; grandchildren Mallory Ruiz, Jordan Garcia, Joann Garcia, Emily Horner, Jonathan Allen V and Marilyn Allen; and great-grandson Scott Sumarto Huerta.
He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Allen and his parents.
