Joel David Williams

Joel David Williams, age 76, of Grants Pass, died December 11, 2025 at his home.

Joel was born November 28, 1949 in Grants Pass to Melbourne Van Burskirk Williams & Dorothy (Inman) Williams. He was a 5th generation Rogue Valley resident. His ancestors first came here from Missouri and settled in the Applegate Valley to farm.

Joel’s great-great-grandfather was a local circuit riding preacher. Joel was a minister all of his life, retiring in 2024. He received his degree from Bethany University in Santa Cruz, California. Joel started the first Recovery Ministry in the Rogue Valley. He personally led thousands of people to the Lord; showing them what they never knew—that God loved them.

Joel is survived by his wife of 55 years, Flo-Etta; daughter Natalie Tikkala; his son; granddaughter Kayla Grijalva; and many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private interment was held at Missouri Flat Cemetery.

Family services will be held.
