JoAnna Kissinger, age 70, of Shady Cove, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at her home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

JoAnna was born August 2, 1939 in Mankato, Minnesota and graduated from Fairmont High School in Fairmont, Minnesota. She was a member of Sacred Drum Group, founded by Grandmother Blackstar; was an avid reader and student of the arts.

JoAnna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was very involved in all their lives. She had many friends and loved each and everyone dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include a son, Scott Alfson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; two daughters, Laurel Berry of Chino Valley, Arizona, and Leah Dalton of Shady Cove, Oregon; two sisters, Kathleen Martin of Ashland, Oregon and Patricia Peterson of Blaine, Minnesota; a brother, David Carney of Alamo, California; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Carney; a daughter, Lisa Sahni; and a son, Brian Malcom.
