October 11, 1926 — March 24, 2025

, Jewel Allene "Allene" Dino (née Brewer), age 98, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, in Grants Pass, Oregon. Born on October 11, 1926, in Hobart, Oklahoma, Allene lived a long and remarkable life marked by resilience, devotion, and unwavering faith. Allene’s early years were shaped by the values of hard work and perseverance. She graduated from a one-room schoolhouse in Selma, Oregon—an experience that instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for learning and determination. At the age of 18, she married Terry Miller, the love of her life. Their time together was brief but profound; she followed him to Pearl Harbor during World War II, where he tragically lost his life in 1945. With strength and courage, Allene returned home with their daughter Anita and began building a new life. She worked tirelessly in the hop fields before transitioning to a position on the assembly lines at Diamond Cabinetry. Through dedication and diligence, she rose through the ranks to serve in Human Resources—a testament to her strong work ethic and leadership. Allene later married Joseph Dino and also shared part of her life. Her family remained at the center of her world throughout her years. She was predeceased by her husbands Joseph Dino and Terry Miller; daughters Anita Morgan and Donna King; but leaves behind a legacy carried forward by her son Michael King; eight grandchildren—Terry, Jerry, Tammy, Teresa, Christina, Mikey Jr., , Mary, and Lori; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren—with an eighth expected soon. A woman of deep spiritual conviction, Allene was a devoted member of the Assembly of God church. Her faith was not only central to her identity but also a source of strength that guided her through life’s many challenges. She watched church services daily alongside her favorite television programs Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy—and found joy in quiet pastimes like needlepoint, reading and puzzles. Allene’s steadfast spirit touched all who knew her. Her legacy is one of enduring love for family, commitment to faith, and an unyielding will that carried her through nearly a century of change. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
