Jason Hayes, age 52, died November 9, 2024 at his home in Grants Pass, due to longtime health issues. He was given wonderful care and love by Bristol Hospice.
Jason was born September 29, 1972 in Fortuna, California to William and Sandra Hayes. He attended Silver Strand Elementary in Coronado, California. After moving to Grants Pass, he attended Riverside Elementary and North Middle School before graduating from Grants Pass High School, Class of 1991.
Over the years he worked at various places including McDonalds, ESAM, Shine Time Car Wash, Fred Meyer and Walmart. He also was a DJ with Jess Webb, saying it kept his feet moving.
As a youngster, he was active in Boy Scouts. His hobbies included camping, fishing, gardening, and bicycle riding and repair. He was a really big Oregon Duck fan. GO DUCKS!!
In his spiritual growth, he was baptized at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Ferndale, California. He later attended St. James Lutheran in Imperial Beach, California before moving to Grants Pass where his confirmation was at St. Paul Lutheran.
He leaves behind aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, his mom Sandy and sister Nikki.
Jason left us too soon! He wanted to be remembered by, “The Happy Times.” He said to “Give hugs, watch sunsets, plant tomatoes, and most of all, look up and see the stars come out.”
