Janis Frances Fiske, age 89, of Grants Pass, died August 25, 2026 at The Suites Assisted Living.

Janis is survived by her two daughters, Joy and Carol (Greg), and two granddaughters, Tiana and Lauren. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, her brother, her husband, Richard, and her son, Lee.
Music was an important part of Janis’s life; her father played all the wind instruments. She took her first piano lessons in high school and enjoyed playing the rest of her life. She joined the music program at her church and played the piano for services every Sunday.

Janis was known for beautifying everywhere she went. Her garden was her Happy Place, and where she found her solace. She grew vegetables, fruit, and above all, gorgeous flowers, making her home lovely in every corner. She enjoyed making flower arrangements, decorating for every holiday, and making every birthday a special occasion for her kids and her grandchildren.
Her creative skills were endless: sewing clothes, quilting, crocheting, baking, organizing events. She used her endless imagination to help organize events at her church, make our family gatherings festive, and give every graduation, prom, or wedding an extra special touch.
Her family extends their gratitude to all who loved her, cared for her, or helped bring her creative ideas to life.
