Jacob "Kabes" David Bailey, age 33, of Grants Pass, died March 15, 2026 in Grants Pass, Oregon.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacob “Kabes” Bailey, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to all he met. Kabes departed this world on March 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, humor, and a warmth that touched countless lives. He was 33 years old.

Born in Kansas City, Kansas to Gerald and Sheri Bailey, Kabes was known from a young age for his generous heart and infectious laughter. He grew up bringing light to those around him, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. As an incredible son, he was a pillar of support and a source of immeasurable pride for his parents. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a family member, friend, or any human in need, and his presence was a constant comfort to those closest to him.

Kabes was a truly devoted brother and a fun-loving uncle. He cherished his family above all else, cherishing moments spent together, whether it was a large family gathering or a simple, quiet evening. As an uncle, he was unparalleled, bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of adventure to his nieces and nephews, who adored him unconditionally. His legacy of kindness will forever live through the memories he built with them, teaching them to approach the world with an open heart.

To know Kabes was to be his friend. He possessed the rare ability to make everyone he met feel like they were the most important person in the room. His friendships spanned many years and many different walks of life, a testament to his kind nature and genuine interest in others. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his friends, always ready with a smile, a listening ear, or a humorous comment to brighten the day. His impact on those around him was profound, and his loss will be felt deeply by a wide community of friends and loved ones.

Kabes was a person who genuinely cared about the world around him. He found joy in simple pleasures and passed that joy on to everyone he encountered. His kind legacy shall live through the countless lives he touched and the happy memories he created. The world is a better place for having had him in it, and he will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his loving Mother, Sheri Thigpen (Chris) his siblings, Khari Siegfried, Joshua (Melissa), Miriah (Mat); his adored nieces and nephews, and a vast circle of family and friends who will cherish his memory forever. He was preceded in death by his Father Gerald Bailey.

A service to honor and celebrate the life of Kabes Bailey will be held on a date to be determined, at Lake of the Forest Kansas. The family invites all who knew and loved Kabes to join them in remembering his incredible spirit.

Although he is no longer with us, the light Kabes brought into our lives will never fade. His love, kindness, warmth, and laughter are etched into our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, Kabes. Your legacy lives on.
