Ian William Rountree, age 23, of Josephine County, died in the early hours of January 30, 2022 at his home of a drug overdose.
Ian was born April 11, 1998 in the Bay Area. At age 12, he moved with his family from California to Southern Oregon. During high school, he worked for Southern Oregon Beverage setting up at various festivals. Ian graduated from Grants Pass High School in 2016.
Ian was known for his music and entrepreneurial skills. He developed a website where he designed and sold his brand and art “Isolated Individuals”. His passions included skateboarding, fashion design, recording music, social media (Instagram) and photography. He also loved the outdoors; including hiking, the river, road trips and big cities – he loved L.A. He had a special zeal for lemon peppered foods and expression by tattoos.
Survivors include his parents Tara & Jon W. Rountree; grandparents Sharon & Michael W. Rountree; uncle Jason W. Rountree and cousin Devin W. Rountree.
He was preceded in death by his furry family Trixie, Chance and Winston.
