Hershel Dean Nance Sr.

Hershel Dean Nance Sr, age 69, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Oregon Health Science University.

Hershel was born November 30, 1945 in San Jose, California to Jewell & Bennie (Minyard) Nance. After graduating from high school in Santa Clara, California, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served three tours in Vietnam. He moved from San Jose to Grants Pass over 40 years ago.

His hobbies included boating, horses, his dogs, and being active.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne Nance; three children, Hershel Jr, Tammy, and Wendy; a stepson, Lucas; a brother; and a sister.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
