Hank Denherder passed away peacefully at his home on March 31, 2026, surrounded by his wife, Coila, and the love of his family. He was born in Deadwood, South Dakota to Garritt and Jeanette Denherder on January 7th, 1932.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife and their four children: Cindy Denherder of Ione, California, Anna Neuman (Dave) of Monroe, Washington, Donna Herren (Dan) of Salem, Oregon and Austin Denherder (Monica) of Silverton, Oregon; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He had special lifelong friends, Phil and Bev Ramsdel, who began their walk with God together and enjoyed many precious years of spiritual and natural friendship.
Hank honorably served two years in the army in Korea as a medic. He returned to Orick, California where he met his beloved wife, Coila Poage, and they were married on January 4, 1957 in Orick, California. Hank was raised in a godly home where he professed at the age of 12 years old. He shared his faith with Coila and she attended gospel meetings with him and embraced it making it a part of her life shortly after they were married. Their faith has been a major part of their lives all of the 69 years they were married. Their deep and abiding faith guided them through their entire lives. They loved having fellowship with those of the same faith and having meetings in their homes wherever they lived.
Hank loved to see and live in different places. In his early years he worked along the Northern Californian coast falling the redwoods. After a few years of college, he became a skilled mechanic. Following his time being a mechanic he worked alongside his brothers in a ship propeller shop. Finally, together they owned and operated two print shops and a health store.
He retired in Grants Pass where he enjoyed his family and fellowship with dear friends in their faith.
