Gloria J. Glidewell

Gloria Jean Glidewell, born on March 25, 1948, in San Luis Obispo, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Grants Pass at a Licensed Adult Foster Home.

Daughter of Harvey and Ruth Glidewell. Gloria is survived by her son Michael Haro and granddaughters Téa and Kaya Haro of California. Gloria’s family also included her nieces Amber Lawson and Amy Ray Glidewell, along with many great-nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members including Amy Loyd, whom she often referred to as her "bonus daughter."

Gloria’s most treasured friendships were those of her church and Walmart family, as well as long term friend of over 20 years, Geneen Larson.

Gloria enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially shopping at Bradford Exchange and Walmart. Known for her generous heart, Gloria had a love for buying anything reflecting her faith in Jesus Christ for herself and others. She had a fondness for hummingbirds, flowers and angel figurines. Her adventurous spirit carried her from ziplining with her nieces and to breathtaking places such as the Oregon Coast, California, Hawaii, and Brazil. She found constant companionship in her beloved dog, Zia, who was truly her best friend.

Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Martin, Kenneth, and James and many other family members.

Gloria’s love for the Lord, gentle spirit and loving nature will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00am at Edgewater Christian Fellowship with a reception to follow~
