Gary G. Spangler

Gary G. Spangler, age 79, of Grants Pass, died December 9, 2021 at his home.

Gary was born September 22, 1942 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Harvey & Marguerite Spangler. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University on May 30, 1970. On July 1, 1980 he retired after a 20-year military career with the United States Navy as Lieutenant Commander. He served in Vietnam and over the years received numerous decorations and awards, one being the Air Medal of Naval Commendations.

Gary was active in his church, working with kids at Child Evangelism Fellowship (Good News Club).

Gary was very talented and creative in several mediums, including woodworking, machining metal, electronics, and welding. He also loved to ocean fish, work on his computer, and go camping.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Spangler of Grants Pass.

Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
