Forrest Gordon Eldred, age 30 of Medford, died June 27, 2025 at his home.
Forest was born August 8, 1994 in Houston, Texas to James & Christine Eldred. He grew up moving every couple of years with his family from Houston to Florence, Oregon to Tucson, Arizona to North Platte, Nebraska and then to Grants Pass. Forrest graduated from Grants Pass High School where he participated in Cross Country, Wrestling and the Debate team. He graduated with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 122.
Forrest attended Southern Oregon University pursuing a degree in International Studies and German. While in college he worked in several different restaurants as a cook – which he loved. In college, he met the love of his life Jazmine Jacobs. Together they moved to Medford, where he worked at one of Medford’s most notable restaurants – Tap and Vine.
Forrest was always ready to help his friends and family, no matter what. He once volunteered to drive a friend all the way to Eugene when her car broke down: no notice, just put on his shoes and said, “On my way.”
An avid reader, Forrest also enjoyed the outdoors and gaming with friends: Dungeon and Dragons and Warhammer table top game. He loved all board games and recently started painting.
Forrest is survived by his fiancé Jazmine Jacobs of Medford; parents Jim & Christy Eldred of Grants Pass; sister Janel Keyfauver of Grants Pass; and brother Justin Eldred of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his sister Erica Eldred-Dangerfield in 2015.
