Eugene Andrew Osorio

Eugene Andrew Osorio, age 76, of Grants Pass, died November 5, 2017 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Gene was born January 14, 1941 in Grants Pass to Peter & Vera Osorio. He attended Jerome Prairie Grade School, Lincoln Savage Junior High, and Grants Pass High School. He worked at various gas stations around Grants Pass including Doyal Compton’s Flying A and Clay Leonard’s 76, and finally retiring from Lonnie Leonard’s 76 and Caveman Towing. Over the years he made many friends through his work at the gas stations.

After retirement, Gene enjoyed yard work, yard sales, landscaping and setting up Christmas decorations for the elderly, as Christmas was his favorite holiday. He also loved family get togethers.

Gene volunteered as a firefighter.

Survivors include his son, Robert Osorio of Klamath Falls, Oregon; two daughters, Connie Osorio Long of Ketchikan, Alaska and Sherri Osorio of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patsy Gritman and a brother, Arthur “Art” Osorio.
