Edward Bastian

Edward Bastian, age 85, of Grants Pass, passed away on August 15, 2020 at his home.

Ed was born December 6, 1934 in Grants Pass to Glenn & Virginia Bastian. He lived almost his entire life in Grants Pass only having lived in Salem and Prospect for a short time. He graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1953 and served in the United States Army and the Oregon National Guard.

He met and married the love of his life Mary Souder in 1958. They had three wonderful children Karen, Glenn and Leonard. They were married for 61 years.

Ed loved the outdoors and spent many many hours hunting and fishing.

Ed worked at Southern Oregon Plywood and Medco Plywood plants until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Karen; and wife Mary.

He is survived by his sons Glenn and Leonard; his brothers Gerald, Kenneth and Richard; granddaughter Krystal Hoy; and a great-grandson.

Family services will be held.
