Donald Warden Lockridge 6-14-1941 to 8- 7-2022

Don Lockridge passed away following a lengthy bout with Covid 19 and other medical issues. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 14, 1941. His father was in the military so he attended 5 schools, one in Germany, while growing up graduating in Albuquerque, NM. He served 4 years in the USAF medical corps where he was stationed in Germany and served as a dental technician. There, he met and married Christiane Bodeving on March 30, 1964 in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg before moving to New Mexico where he taught German, social studies, language arts and drama at Mountainair High School. They then moved to Southern Oregon and made their home in Rogue River where he taught 7 years at Rogue River Middle School then Rogue River High School where he taught social studies, drama, German, speech and leadership at Rogue River High School until his retirement. He served as the debate coach, coached sports, was an advisor and bus driver. He was an active member of the Rogue River American Legion and the Evans Valley Volunteer fire department in Wimer. After retiring, they traveled extensively all over the U.S. and Canada falling in love with Newfoundland and Labrador, which they visited three times. His hobbies were traveling, biking, music, photography and his dogs and collections including an extensive record collection, badges and other memorabilia.

His beloved wife, Chris, preceded him in death on June 11, 2022.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no service.
