Dixie Lee Penix

Dixie Lee Penix, age 60, of Grants Pass, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Dixie was born October 15, 1955 in Pismo Beach, California to Earl & Juanita Penix and attended school in Gonzales, California. In 1982 she moved from Gonzales to Grants Pass. Dixie made a deep impression in each community she has lived in.

Dixie enjoyed singing, dancing, drawing, and coloring; she never met a stranger. Dixie loved the outdoors and making everyone happy.

Survivors include two sisters, Susan Boekenoogen of Carmel Valley, California and Debbie Ferrare of Grants Pass; nieces and nephew, Leslie Ferrare of Portland, Oregon, Garrett Boekenoogen, Holly Schneider, and Kate Boekenoogen all of Carmel Valley, California.

A committal will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
