Dema Katherine Thieme

Dema Katherine Thieme was born on April 15, 1928, and went to be with her Lord and Saviour on her 98th birthday, April 15, 2026. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Cemetery in Grants Pass, Oregon. Dema was born in Oklahoma and moved with her family to Big Spring, Texas, where she met her husband of 71 years. Eventually they moved to the West Coast. Throughout the years they traveled the United States in their RV and were always actively involved in their home church. Dema was loved and will always be in our heart. She will be remembered for having a quick wit and love of children. She loved entertaining a crowd with little ones running around. She enjoyed cooking for family more than eating out. In her opinion there were never enough flowers in her yard. She always valued books, reading, and one of her hobbies was painting. She was preceded by her husband Frank Thieme Sr. and her son Frank “Bud” Thieme Jr. Survived by her daughter-in-law, two daughters, four granddaughters, and precious great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
