In loving memory of Dawn Michelle Sheeley 71

April 5, 1952- November 22, 2023

Dawn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones after a devastating battle with ALS. Dawn was born Dawn Michelle Blouin the firstborn child of “Sidney” Darrell Blouin and Clare Blouin of Burlington Washington. Dawn was blessed from birth with an amazing positive spirit and a smile to match.

Dawn enjoyed being in a large family of Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins. She spent her childhood in Burlington and Big Lake WA. She attended school in Burlington and graduated from Burlington Edison High School in 1970. Dawn had several jobs during high school displaying her independent spirit. Dawn made many lifelong friends during her school years. Dawn loved people, animals, traveling, and music, especially live music. She attended many live music events. After graduating Dawn began to travel from Washington to Florida making friends along the way. After her travels, She moved to Seattle and worked for Host International for a couple of years. Then she moved to Hawaii until finally settling in the Los Angeles area in 1973. During this time Dawn held many different jobs including her favorite in restaurants. She continued to make lifelong friends and had many adventures she loved to share in later years, continuing to support live music.

In 1981 she Married her first husband Hap Trout and in 1992 they moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where she lived until her death. During this time she again found a home and lifelong friends in several  restaurants around Grants Pass. She also loved antique “junk” hunting and had several collaborations with other collectors. Dawn could tie a gingham ribbon on anything and sell it for an outlandish price! She was a gifted decorator and merchandiser. She was widowed in 2009. Shortly after she adopted her “boy” Duncan the Cocker Spaniel who was her constant companion. In 2010 she lived with her sister Jo Ella and they cared for their Mother, Clare until her death in 2017.  During this time She retired from restaurants and went to work for her dear friend Brandi in her home decor store where her decorating talents shone brightly.  Several years later she retired from the store and Dawn began to travel again. In her true fashion, she followed the music working as a merch girl for several all-female rock tribute bands and other bands along the way, making many friends all over the country. It was during her travels she met an old friend Evan Sheeley from 40 years prior and her new adventure began.

Dawn and Evan were married in April of 2019. They shared a mutual love of music, traveling, Duncan and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where they were planning on moving for their last great adventure.

Duncan died in 2022, a great loss to Dawn.
