Claude A. Dunivin

Claude A. Dunivin, age 103, of Grants Pass, died July 18, 2022 at his home.
Claude Alfred Dunivin was born January 18, 1919 in Summersville, Missouri to Walter W and Annie (Moore) Dunivin. He was the seventh born of 12 children and the last surviving child. He joined the CCC’s during the Great Depression with a couple of his brothers. He married Geraldine Fay Jones in November 1941. Four children were born to this marriage; Claudiea (Wall), Roy, Letitia (Slater) and Leonard. He worked various jobs to support his family including mining, fence builder on Alcatraz Island, timber faller including redwoods, school bus driver, fireman on steam locomotives, sawmill worker and finally, Signalman for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Claude was a member of the North Valley SDA church in Merlin, OR. Claude was pre deceased by his wife, Geraldine and two children…Roy and Letitia. He is survived by children Claudiea and Leonard, 8 grandchildren, lots of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. At his request, there will not be a service.
