Charles "Chuck" Travis

Charles "Chuck" Travis, age 87, of Grants Pass, died June 22, 2026 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

If he could leave us with one final message, it might sound something like this:

Grieve how you must, but always pray about it. God is with you.

Make time for family and friends. Work hard. Laugh often, tell jokes and stories. Cause a little trouble. Play softball and go hunting with friends. Show people the cool rocks you've found and teach them how to spot the goat on the mountain. Pick fresh fruit. Collect things that make you smile. Buy a swing and sit in it every day. Drink coffee with the people you love. Get outside and literally stop to smell the roses. 

Most importantly, never underestimate the difference one faithful life can make. Love deeply. Serve generously. Help your neighbors. Forgive yourself and others. Trust God completely. The same God who carried me through every chapter of my life will carry you through yours. 

God is good.
