Charles “Charlie” "Ike" March 16, 1928 – Sept 23, 2023.

Charles was the sixth child of seven siblings to Joseph and Hazel Dickson in Bercail, Wheatland County, Montana. Charles joined the U.S. Marine Corp as soon as he graduated high school in May 1946. He met and married his wife Joe Jeannette Rollin on July 9, 1948. He served in Korea from 1950-1951, with the First Marine Division, and was in the retreat from the Chosen Reservoir. He was stationed at Cherry Point NC, Memphis, TN, El Toro CA, and in Hawaii at Kaneohe Air Base, home of Fighter Squadron 214, Papa Boyington's old squad. He was on the USS Hancock for 5-1/2 months in the Pacific. The Marine Corps sent him on detached service for a year at Litton's to learn about data systems. He saw service in Vietnam at Da Nang and Monkey Mountain. He has 9 service ribbons, including the Bronze Star, the UN ribbon, and 5 major battle ribbons. When he retired May 1968 as a Master Sergeant, he went to work for Litton Industries in Van Nuys, CA.

In Aug of 95, He and his wife and three sons moved to a farm in Azalea, Oregon. He likes to work in his shop and can repair almost anything. He was well liked by all who met him, was a Great Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa and a Great-Great-Grandpa (5 Generations Strong).

Charles is survived by one sibling: Josephine. He had six Children: Robert, Charles, George, Jeannette, Brian, and Thomas. Nine grandchildren: Sandy, Christina, Nicole, Stephanie, Brian, Tamra, Dana, Jillian, and Amanda. He had eleven Great grandchildren, two Great-Great-grandsons.
