Charles Francis Brown Jr., was born in Santa Barbara, California on August 25, 1933.
After a hunting trip to southern Oregon, he sold his sign business in Santa Monica, California in 1968. He then moved the family to Oregon in 1970. He invested in real estate and was self-employed for the rest of his life.
He was an active lifetime member of the local Elks Lodge #1584.
Motorcycles were a big part of his life—racing in the Mojave Desert and Baja as a member of the Dirt Diggers Motorcycle Club.
Charles was an avid hunter both rifle and bow. He is in the Pope & Young Record Book for the largest mule deer in the State of Oregon.
He is a descendant of the Chumash Native American Tribe in San Luis Obispo, California.
Charles is survived by 1 daughter, 3 sons, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 4 great-grandsons, and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
