Cecil Guy Haight Jr

Cecil Haight Jr, age 85, of Grants Pass, died August 18, 2017 at his home.

Cecil was born October 15, 1931 at St Francis Hospital in San Francisco, California to Cecil & Florence Haight. He graduated from Washington High in San Francisco. He served in the United States Navy and served as an electrician’s mate second class. For 35 years he worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation. While there he worked on the Hubble Space Telescope. On September 15, 1984 in San Jose he married Jessica N. Castro. Together they moved from San Jose to Grants Pass in 2016.

He was a member of the American Red Cross.

Cecil especially enjoyed computers and electrical work.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica N. Haight; three daughters, Carlene Hazan, Susan Haight and Charlene Hogue; a sister, Joann Schultz; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017 at St. James Anglican Church, 1565 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose.

A graveside service with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 W McCabe Road, Santa Nella.
