Bruce Wood Peddicord

Bruce Wood Peddicord, son of Robert and Barbara Peddicord, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 31, after an eighteen-month battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.

Bruce was born on January 4, 1956, in Oakland, California. He graduated from El Camino Real High School, where he was voted “Most Spirited” and “Sexiest.” After spending time in Hawaii and managing two restaurants at once in Los Angeles, he moved to Southern Oregon in 1983. He went on to build a successful career in real estate at Century 21 before starting his own company, where he worked until retirement.

Bruce was a popular Yell Leader in high school, and in many ways, he remained one for the rest of his life. He championed the people he loved and rallied behind every endeavor they pursued. He was also active in the GPHS marching band and in Boy Scouts, Troop 22.

Bruce was charismatic, quick-witted, and full of life, with a mischievous spirit that made him unforgettable. He had a way of drawing people in and making life feel more vivid. Those who know him remember his warmth, his energy, and the lasting impression he left on everyone around him.

Bruce was a devoted family man, generous with his time, and steadfast in his love for others. He is survived by his loving wife, Sonja; his brother, Bob; his sister, Bev May; his sons, Michael and Bryce; his daughter-in-law, Elena Garcia Felix; his stepchildren, Shayla Davies and Nicholas Latapie; and his beloved grandchildren, Liam Peddicord and Haydn Davies.

A memorial service will be held on May 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Edgewater Christian Fellowship, 101 Assembly Circle, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.
