Bobby Lynn Werner

Bobby Lynn Werner, 72, of Grants Pass, died Saturday September 26, 2026 at the Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living Residence.

Bobby was born on September 22, 1954 to Russ and Margaret Werner. He had a brother "Rusty" and sister "Annette". Bobby attended Lincoln Elementary School, North Middle School and Grants Pass High School, graduating in 1973. Bobby's father was a teacher and coach at GPHS for many years. The track is named after his father, "Russ Werner Track & Field."

Bobby was well known by many in the community as a gentle and happy giant, whether sitting outside the Caveman Pool greeting the high school students as they left for the day, driving around in his red Volkswagen Beetle to local businesses to say "hi" and sometimes get the owner to give him their clock right off the wall, frequenting the local donut shop and spending hours at the Powderhorn Cafe enjoying pancakes and pie.

A service will be held at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors located at 612 N.W. A Street, Grants Pass, Oregon on Thursday October 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and the public is invited. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to City of Grants Pass for support of Caveman Pool.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Annette Werner of Grants Pass and the countless people in Grants Pass he always greeted with his unmistakable smile.
