Beverly Kay (Stevenson) Clark

Former Grants Pass resident, Beverly Kay (Stevenson) Clark, age 76, of Salem, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at The Woods of Willow Creek Assisted Living Care Facility in Salem, Oregon.

A viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 and from Noon to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January, 4, 2014 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Hull and Hull Funeral Directors in Grants Pass, Oregon. A graveside service will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Beverly Kay Steffen was born July 31, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to LaVerna Brown and Ruben Steffen. She moved to Los Angeles, California when she was three years old and was raised by her grandparents, Arthur and Ida (Fern) Young.

Beverly married (Alvin) Dale Stevenson February 12, 1955 in Los Angeles, California. Dale passed away December 25, 2008.

Beverly and her family moved to Grants Pass in 1967. She was a stay at home mom, dedicated to raising her children. She became very active talking on her “CB” and was known as “Skeeter Bug”, by her CB family and numerous friends.

She married Fredrick Clark October 8th, 1977 in Grants Pass, Oregon. During the 1980’s, Beverly became involved in showing Pomeranians.

Beverly moved to Salem in 2000 to live with Art and Niki.

Survivors include two sisters, Lana Lohrey (Daryl) of Camarillo, California and Sheila May (Ken) of Las Vegas, Nevada and one brother Barry Harrison of Shoreline Care Center in Oxnard, California, her two sons, Arthur Dale (Niki) of Salem, Oregon and Derrick Lynn (Kathy) of Grants Pass, Oregon, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother Reggie and her daughter Brenda.
