Berl Gerald Deardorff, age 85, of Azalea, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his home.
A celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
Berl was born July 7, 1928 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Gladys & William Deardorff. In 1946 he graduated from high school in Doniphan, Nebraska and soon after settled in Oregon. He married and raised three families. He worked at Spalding & Sons until his retirement in 1990.
He loved camping, fishing, gardening, and exploring.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughters, Dulcie, Cassandra, Lin and Virginia; sons, Berl Jr and Mike; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Berl was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys & William Deardorff; a brother, Fianis; two daughters, Leona and Judy; and a stepson, Anthony.
He will be missed!
