Barry Rand Holmes

Barry Holmes passed away surrounded by family, memories of a life lived with humor, strength, and his own unmistakable style.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Holmes; daughter, Alicia; son, Nick; and grandson, McCoy. He also leaves behind his sisters, Roxanne, Mindi, and Crystal; his brother, TJ; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Toby.

Barry spent more than two decades working a for Cerence AI as Senior Manager of Cerence Cloud Services, where he was known for his dedication, technical knowledge, and long-standing commitment to his work.

Barry will be remembering for his laughter, strong presence, and the many stories shared with family and friends over the years. Though he walked his own path in life, he remained an ununforgettable part of the lives of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 29-31 in Coos Bay, Oregon, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, spread his ashes on Saturday, and celebrate a life that touched many along the way.
